Find the Perfect Home

Here are a few tips to getting your home ready to be introduced to the market for sale. Here is a list of action items that I recommend you consider in preparation.

  • Clean the home thoroughly. Making sure the house is in perfect condition is key throughout all open houses and private showings.

  • Declutter the home from top to bottom. This includes all of the rooms, but also organizing closets too. Clutter makes rooms and closets look smaller than they are.

  • Freshen up the paint. Check all of the walls and trim for excessive wear. Neutral colors are always best as they are not taste specific. Remedy any deferred maintenance that is visible to show buyers your home has been well cared for.

  • Don’t forget the exterior. It is the first and last thing all buyers will see so you will want to make a great impression. Adding flowers or potted plants to entry ways, having landscaping maintained and even a freshly painted door are all good ideas. Inviting furniture and plants can also help make decks or patios look welcoming.
