There are a lot of things that need to be completed as you mentally and physically get ready for the big event. However, it doesn’t have to be such a terrible and stressful process. Home Preparation

The first thing you will want to do is tackle the necessary decluttering, deep cleaning and repairs. Get rid of all unnecessary belongings from each room, give the entire home a thorough cleaning and fix anything that needs repair. Give buyers the confidence and impression that the home has been well cared for. 

Proper Staging

Once the home is clean and things are in good working order, now is the time to do your home staging. This means you will want to have the right amount of items in each room and have each room arranged for its intended purpose. Put away that exercise bike and make sure the bed is set up and made in the guest room for example. All furniture should be appropriately sized in each room and personal items should be put away. 

Hire an Experienced Agent

There is a lot of paperwork required for a home sale. Be prepared to deal with this from listing contract to offer, to purchase and sale to closing documents.
